Navruz celebration in the Bobur Park

On March 21, 2016, Babur Park the Polish Diaspora of Tashkent took an active part in the celebration of Navruz public holiday.

Since ancient times, Uzbekistan is famous for its hospitality and friendliness. This is the land where people of different nationalities and religions lived in peace and harmony for centuries. We can proudly call our blessed land as a center of junction of cultures.

Each year on March 21, in the cozy and relaxed holiday atmosphere with flowering trees, and warm rays of spring sun our great, friendly international family gathers.

Listening to the sounds of variousv musical instruments, people are strolling along the alleys of the park. And you can see the smile on every face.

For each participant of the festival this is a unique opportunity to make a journey into the world of folklore and ethnography of different nations; to enjoy a variety of arts and cultures; to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the national spring celebrations.

For the Polish Diaspora in Uzbekistan this day is special also because, on this day, they celebrated the beginning of spring in the historical homeland – in Poland. The spring season in the tradition of all nations is a time of joy, renewal, and renovation …
